Review of Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010) by Matt D — 15 Sep 2010
It's a DC Universe Animated Original Movie. You know it will be good. Just a couple of things that bothered me. Darkseid is supposedly the ultimate badass. But up until the very end, he was pretty much shown to be a weakling. Remember I haven't read the comics and I had only heard/read about Darkseid, things that made him out to be a force to be reckoned with. So his portrayal early on in the movie didn't quite fit in with my image of him. He did put some effort at the end which helped in establishing his reputation a little. He took on Superman and Supergirl and he was still ready to fight some more. Although his Omega beam still didn't measure up to my standards.
The relationship between Superman and Supergirl was rather a little too intimate, I mean, as far as cousins are concerned? I understand that they've met after a long time and they're the only two of their species/planet alive but still. Lots of contact, hugs and general physical intimacy. That was a little unnerving :P Or maybe I'm just weird xDD;.
Also, for some reason I can't stop thinking about whether Superman peeks at Supergirl's panties when she's flying? Like at the very end... :P I guess I am weird :P :P :P.
Supergirl should have been a little bustier xD;.
That's it. Otherwise I liked the movie. Definitely worth watching.
