Review of Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010) by Peter K — 28 Sep 2010
The high score is mostly devoted to the incredible action scenes that are animated so beautifully you wouldn't think this was low budget straight to dvd animation.
The character design is faithful to the late Michael Turners art of the original comic series so that is as divisive as it was with the previous superman/batman animated film that used Ed McGuinness art style. I personally see a vast difference in the quality of the male and female characters, the females looking fantastic and the males looking a bit weedy, a bit too "male model".
The voice acting is great as usual with this latest batch of DC animated features, my problem with this one though is the story, it just didnt grab me, maybe thats because i'm a guy and this definitely seems to be aimed more at the female market.
