Review of Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010) by Dylan S — 31 May 2011
Waaay better than "All-Star Superman". Unlike that one, "Apocalypse" had a plot that was actually coherent throughout the course of the movie and the animation was rich and limber, meaning the fight scenes weren't stiff and laughter-inducing.
I did have my doubts, initially, when Krypto randomly popped up to try to attack Kara but the movie recovered nicely. It was also surprisingly funny at times. More and more I'm beginning to like Superman (I was always a Batman girl myself), and this movie helped with that even more.
It also made Supergirl and Wonder Woman look cooler and tougher to me.
