Review of Supergirl (1984) by Jason S — 03 Feb 2008
It didn't have the blockbuster luster of the Superman films. I think they only made this movie to try to bring in a strong female role-model in the comic-movie genre while also trying to piggyback on the Superman success.
I'll give them an A for effort but a B- for implementation. I liked the naivety brought by Helen Slater, but the plot seemed a little thin. It's an okay movie to reminisce on, but not to today's generation.
