Review of Supergirl (1984) by Gerry S — 15 Feb 2008
Helen Slater gives a great, endearing and likeable preformance as Supergirl... in an increasingly embarassing fantasy adventure that slugs along. Faye Dunaway and Peter O' Toole camp it up the high heavens.
Worth it for Slater alone, it's almost like she's existing in a better-made film. With Christopher Reeve declining a cameo, overall it's a rather pointless addition to the Superman film canon.
