This has to be the best movie I've seen of its Genre since the 1990s. It was well written - beginning, middle, and end. The ending was extremely strong whereas most movies these days seem to have an ending that seems rushed.
This movie is a great depiction of Superfly in the 1970s, however, I just heard about because my parents would allow me to see it back then, but they raved over it back in the day - and I can rave over today's Superfly.
The role "Priest" was played by Trevor Jackson, he was great! They couldn't have found a better actor for the role - played with great ingenuity, very talented young man. This is not a film of black exploitation - it is the life of many people including some of the Rappers that we all love! The movie is filled with action of at every level and well scripted!! I loved it and encourage all adults to go see it!! Job well done.
