Watching this film, I had no idea who Superfly was. The shock when I realised that he's a drug dealer. Shocked that this promising young actor would agree to portray this character.
From shows like Power to this film, I cannot understand the obsession with portraying black drug dealers as some sort of hero just because said criminal wants out of the game.
Say what you want about Tyler Perry, but at least his characters are good people. Very disappointed. I'm going to think twice the next time I watch a movie starring this lead actor. Only gave it a "1" because at least the production is fine.
