Review of Superbad (2007) by Jill R — 10 Sep 2014
It's amazing Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote this when they were 13. This isn't the best movie i've seen but it's my favorite. It's better with every viewing and the combination of comedy and sweetness is intertwined so effortlessly. The humor goes from stupid-funny.
Michaels: McLovin, how's it going with the ladies?
Fogel: It's not the "going" i'm worried about but the "cumming".
To smart funny.
Seth: "Look, it was the peak of my ass-getting career and it happened way too early.".
Evan: "You're like Orson Welles.".
There were even running jokes.
That guy: "You know a guy named Jimmy? You totally look like his brother.".
And later...
Stoner: "Hey, he's Jimmy's brother.".
Incredible comedy cast and story with good lessons intertwined. The last scene in the mall is my favorite movie scene ever. A definite recommend for teenagers or actually anyone.
