Review of Superbad (2007) by Jordan A — 30 Oct 2012

Superbad is a well-acted, hilarious, heartfelt, awesome movie with an outstanding cast, memorable characters, a simply plot and some truly memorable jokes. All of the actors were great in their given roles, and it was great to see so many hilarious comedic actors at their best. The plot of the movie is simple: Evan (played by Michael Cera) and Seth (played by Jonah Hill) are trying to acquire alcoholic beverages for a party they are attending before heading to college. The simple plot allows for a lot of characterization and hilarious gags. The large array of unique characters helps to move along the plot, and all of them are memorable for many different reasons. Some of them are easy to relate to, while others are simply hilarious or cool.

Superbad is my favorite comedy of all time, and I highly recommend it to those who enjoy fun, raunchy, heartfelt, absurdly entertaining comedies.
