Review of Super Troopers (2001) by Kris S — 05 Feb 2011
"Super Troopers" remains an instant comedy classic, and the best film to be produced by the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. The incredibly memorable and endlessly quotable pre-credits sequence sets the stage for the goofy antics that are to follow, all of which are enhanced by the fantastic chemistry between the stars themselves.
The film loses a bit of steam as it pushes forward, but a variety of gags work to keep the viewer interested and pick up any slack that emerges from the thin plot. In the end, it is probably Kevin Heffernan as the disgusting Farva who steals the show, but everyone in the main cast has at least a few memorable moments to shine.
Although not for everybody, fans of goofball humour will surely find a lot to laugh about with "Super Troopers".
