Review of Super Size Me (2004) by Ankelchen N — 28 Nov 2010
It's really shocking to see that one can really damage their body by eating fast food on a daily basis.
I would have never thought that there is a salad that has more fat than a Big Mac.
Most shocking, I think were the fries that just wouldn't rot.. yuk.
One point I didn't like about the documentation, though, is that it focuses too much on how bad the fast food companies are and how they make people fat and sick. It gives the impression that people are forced to eat all this crap and negate the free will.
If I don't care for how much fat and calories are in the food I consume and opt for drinking nearly two liters of soda, then me getting fat and sick is clearly my fault not McDonald's.
I can't order a drink in a ridiculous big size and shove a burger and french fries down my throat and believe that this is healthy.
It is true that the companies serve this food and probably don't care for the effect it has on their customer's bodies but in the end it is the customer who eats there up to 4 times a week.
Instead of finding a scapegoat in McDonalds and such for your fatness start thinking and stop eating like a hog.
