Review of Super Mario Bros. (1993) by Alex H — 16 Aug 2013

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, but I remember it being fuckin awesome. If you tell a person who plays Mario to see this movie, it will shock them how different this is from the game. Many people hated this for straying so far from the game, but the novelty of seeing a movie try so hard to be "realistic" with such silly material, is great entertainment in itself.

It reminded me a little of the Matrix, actually, because they had realistic characters escaping into a fantasy world. I like how they made King Coopa an actual guy, instead of a CGI creature. Cult classic, acquired taste.

Fuckin loved it. Gonna rent it first chance I get.
