The referances are there but that's not really enough though, I think it's still watchable. The cast is mildly perfect but Luigi has no tache...my fave video game character... if they ever do another Bros.
movie I just hope Bowser is CGI and some floating boxes would be nice...bob-omb was funny though. Would've been perfect, had the mushroom kingdom not look like a bad-new york and London together. Still, it was funny to hear the familer sound effects.
Bob Hoskin's made an ok Mario but John Leguizamo could've been a bit more cowardly with the odd bravely, instead of being cocky. Bob Hoskin's low-point of his career and probably would've been better if he was just the voice to a CGI character.
Still, ok to watch. I liked it anyway.
