Strange, corny, and inexplicably dark movie adaptation of the bright, shiny Mario franchise. The lizard underworld the two plumbers find themselves in is greasy and gross; Toad is a hulking monster with a thumb-sized head, and Yoshi looks like a prop leftover from Jurassic Park.
And then two of the principle actors write it off as a nightmare. I guess it's possibly of interest for lovers of camp.
