Review of Super Fly (1972) by Tico P — 02 Jan 2011
A super cool blaxploitation flick for those who want in on the game. The film introduces us to Priest, a pimp, coke dealer with a golden heart, trying to get out of the game and retire. There were legal problems during its release , due to its liberal portrayal of drugs.
Superfly was even accused of glorifying cocaine use. Mind blowing soundtrack by Curtis Mayfield. Two inferior sequels have been made.
