Review of Super 8 (2011) by Edward C — 06 Nov 2013
Plot/Summary, Writer/director J.J. Abrams teams with producer Steven Spielberg for this period sci-fi thriller set in the late '70s, and centering on a mysterious train crash in a small Ohio town. Summer, 1979: a group of young friends are filming a Super-8 movie when a pickup truck derails a speeding train. When the locals start to disappear and even the inquisitive deputy can't come up with answers, suspicions emerge that the incident was anything but an accident. As the truth finally begins emerge, no one is prepared to learn what now stalks the unsuspecting citizens of this once quiet community. Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning star.
My Review.
Super 8 is a very hyped film that for some people say it has flaws that are acceptable. Really I don't think there were any flaws. The director J.J Abrahms has said that this is a film kinda like where in the old days you don't know to much about the film until you actually see the film only the plot. And that's fine because I think that's one of the starting points of a good film. The story is about a kid named Joe Lamb who in the beginning of this film as you can tell loses his mother and of course is going to help his friends Charles finish his movie for a movie competition. One night while filming a train and a car crash together and in a cargo unleashes something that their Film revealed. And it is heart pounding.
