J.J. Abrams and his Super 8 movie-making childhood posse, "The Beardless Wonders", made a tribute to their humble beginnings and their mentor's, Steven Spielberg, ET. Unfortunately, it is also unoriginal and unimaginative.
The young actors are superb though, especially Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney.
