Review of Super 8 (2011) by Jason V — 11 May 2013
An excellent parabola of the chilhood of master Spielberg full of winks to his career as well as Romero's one; the guy is even used as a company name, so, if we didn't think to him before, the scriptwriter admit his inspiration.
Funny, effective, fascinating, moving, a good cross between E.T. and Cloverfield; the 1st being directed by Super 8's producer and the 2d produced by Super 8's director, it's not surprising and it's wanted and assumed.
I expected a lot from this movie, I got what I hoped if not more.
