Review of Super 8 (1988) by Don S — 10 Feb 2013
A terrific sci-fi action movie centered around a group of kids with healthy curiosity. They witness a horrific train derailment and all heck breaks loose. Moves at a breakneck pace, contains excellent special effects, and has a whimsical undertone that is missing in many movies of this type.
Though there are several difficult to believe or too coincidental scenes, it flows well and took me back to a simpler time in my life. Elle Fanning is wonderful. Recommended.
