Review of Super 8 (1988) by Shawn M — 13 Jun 2013

I guess this is Abrams and Spielberg's calling card, but what a misleading name. Overall, the film was not bad, generally entertaining, albeit too over-the-top. Every suspenseful moment was easily anticipated, and the story was equally so.

I would not complain about the movie because of the effects and cinematography, but I would complain about it due to the predictability. Overall, I would suggest to anyone who just wants a movie to watch, but not if they want a movie to experience.
