Review of Super 8 (1988) by Griffin B — 19 Sep 2013
Fun and engaging. A great cast (with quite a few promising child actors), well-developed characters, a very natural sense of humor, and nice visuals. It may borrow from a number of classics and have some generic ideas, but not in a way that's obnoxious.
My only complaints would be that some of the action sequences were a lot more ridiculous than they needed to be, and the ending was kinda clunky.
