Although blessed with top-notch acting talent (Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page in particular were terrific) and a unique take on vigilantism and the superhero genre, this dark (VERY dark) comedy was just a bit too weird and over-the-top for me.
Just as I would start laughing at one of clever ironical sequences, the blood-thirsty raging violence perpetrated by the wannabe superheroes made me squirm.
