A deeply weird and throughly entertaining movie that examines our culture's obsession with superheroes and vigilante justice. It's insane to think that Marvel saw this movie and said, "Hey, let's give this guy $170 million to make a summer blockbuster.
" I'm guessing they were going on James Gunn's deceptive deftness at filmcraft.
