Review of Sunshine on Leith (2013) by Lachlan K — 10 Aug 2016
When the proclaimers are on the radio and your dad turns up the volume you know nobodies safe from the singalong that soon follows and now they're on the big screen featuring a cameo from the duo themselves, they really have cemented themselves in British culture.
The singing is as expected, first class particularly a joyous rendition of I'm on my way, early on and there's also plenty of humour. Unfortunately the dialogue becomes a bit soppy and broonsesque as the film progresses, but that's a minor hiccup in one of the best feel good films of this year.
