Review of Sunshine Cleaning (2008) by Joe T — 13 Mar 2010

Amy Adams is a good actress who is being wasted in movies such as these. It's like filmmakers think she should still be playing the same character she has played before. Same for Alan Arkin, who does the same character he played in Little Miss Sunshine annd Slums of Beverly Hill. The only thing good about this movie is the relationship between Emily Blunt and Mary Lynn Rajskub. You're not sure where things are going. Are they trying to be friends or a couple. The movie never comes out with the L word but it is there.

This movie wants to be quirky and taken serious at the same time, but it can't.
