Review of Sunshine Cleaning (2008) by Thomas M — 09 Apr 2010
This movie would soar as a dark comedy, but settles for "quirkiness pretending to be depth." Could have done without the token misunderstood child attempting to talk to God on a CB radio and asking if He's watching us I AM NOT KIDDING. All actors involved were superb, though.
Sunshine Cleaning is like Amy Adams's character: dreams of being original and talented, but is stuck sleeping with the married high school sweetheart who doesn't really like her back.
