Review of Sunshine Cleaning (2008) by Richard J — 11 May 2010

Another "peaked in high school" flick but with some standout performances and touching moments. Arkin especially shines as the dad who's looking for the next deal but can't get a break.

The scenes where he's desperate to offload a load of cheap shrimp before they go bad is really well played and the desperation that bubbles under during the whole film finds it's blow hole during these scenes.
