Review of Sunshine Cleaning (2008) by Erika D — 16 May 2010
Seeing as I a have a penchant for humor within morbidity, I rather enjoyed the subject matter of this film. There are some very interesting story-lines and the acting was better than average. But I did find it lacking and I'm not sure why exactly except that I didn't feel there was any X factor.
Nothing made it brilliant or very memorable or heartbreaking. Most of the performances were better than your average film, the writing was good, the directing was decent, the story was great, but nothing incredible.
I have to say the part I remember the most (besides all the blood) was the railroad track scene. It was particularly well done but the rest, well, 3 stars my friends.
