Review of Sunshine Cleaning (2008) by Jonathan J — 05 Jan 2011
While not unwatchable, this movie's downfall was it's inability to function as a dark comedy. The melodramatic plot causes much of the humor to fall flat, while the desperate attempts at quirkiness make it hard to care about any of the characters.
In the end the only character I rooted for was Winston, but there is only so much a side-line character can do for a film.
