Review of Sunshine (2013) by Tim R — 20 May 2012

Borrows a lot from other well known sci-fi movies (Alien and 2001 especially), but manages to become its own unique experience thanks to the brilliant visuals from Danny Boyle and co. along with the talented cast.

The only complaint I have is that the movie undoes itself near the end with the completely random introduction of the 'monster'. It's introduced as another effective obstacle, but, I don't know.

..it just seemed completely out of the blue and a little unnecessary. Other than that, it's a brilliant sci-fi drama.
