Danny Boyle and Alex Garland's second collaboration doesn't quite capture the same magic and genre-redefinition for sci-fi as their previous endeavor did for zombie horror, but Sunshine is still smart, exciting and visually stimulating and intelligently samples from great science fiction films that came before it.
