Review of Sunshine (2007) by Alex C — 04 Dec 2011
A really great Sci-fi movie to watch. Definitely one of the best by Boyle that I've seen, and it certainly is one of my favorite movies also, because it's smart, effective, with some action as well, not like the last two by Boyle.
Its 2057, And a crew of austronauts and scientists go up and try to put some new life into our dying sun. A lot of problems will face this crew, the same with the last one seven years ago. I really havent seen anything like this, being the way of how its created, and how much effort Boyle has put into it, like all his other movies. Cillian Murphy has to be one of the best picks by Boyle, of how good he's been in most of his movies.
You can say it's one of those weird and confusing Sci-fi movies to watch, but then I guess if you have an obsession with Sci-fi like me, you'll have no problem with it. It definitly adds a lot of thrill when Pinbacker enters the ship to stop the mission. You can also tell how influenced Boyle was to 2001: A Space Odyssey. He always has a perfect soundtrack to definitly fit in with his movies. I definitly recommend this to everyone, I guarantee you'll enjoy it!
