Very rarely do movies achieve the transcendent level of humanity encompassing philosophical pondering that nearly all films aspire to, at one point or another. Sunshine is one of those films. Joining Interstellar, Cloud Atlas and V For Vendetta, among a few others, Sunshine takes it rightful place among the broadest and most awe inspiring films of humankind and its struggle for existence.
The spectacular performances and fantastic filming make Sunshine a top-notch science fiction trip from start to finish. Boyle has created a masterpiece.
