Review of Sunshine (1973) by Brian C — 14 Feb 2013

Sunshine is a bit of a heat breaker. The first two acts of the movie deliver thrilling, smart, and intense realistic science fiction. I found myself completely invested in and relating to all the characters.

Unfortunately, in the third act, it turns into nothing more than a cheap slasher movie. On the other hand, I must give the movie credit. Regardless of the horrible slasher aspect, the movie delivers one of the most beautiful endings I've ever see.

In the end, I loved sunshine, even though it seemed to be set on trying to make me not.
