Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Shane L — 13 May 2009
Excellent noir film. The commentary on Hollwood combined with the intrigue of the first half (that sadly begins to wear away) and the excellent performances make this worth all the praise it has gotten.
Swanson is superb as a desperate actress longing for her place back in the spotlight that it drives her mad. Despite the fact that it starts to drag for a moment near the end, it is worth the watch.
