Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Joel T — 25 Feb 2010
60 years old & still holds up relatively well. Gloria Swanson is a fucking loon as she is unable to come to grips w/ her star that has long faded. The only problem that I have is a little w/ the structuring having William Holden found dead in the pool @ the beginning & having a dead man's narrative.
The ending is classic though giving us one of the most famous lines in film history...in fact there is a lot of great dialogue.
