Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Nicholas L — 20 Sep 2010

I was never a fan of old movies, definitely not from the 50s. Sunset Boulevard just proves how ignorant I am. It is a great movie. Superb acting from the whole cast, leading actress of immense star quality and lavish sets that shines even though it is in black and white. The dialog, yes the dialog, oh so witty, so powerful, so dramatic, so perfect. How can you beat these : I am big, it is the picture that got small.

Something that I do not like : I find the music score too distracting and redundant at times.
