Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Helena R — 18 Aug 2013
I don't know who won the Oscar for Best Actress that year, but whoever it was probably didn't deserve it, because I almost can't imagine that anyone has ever played any role in any film better than Gloria Swanson plays the role of Norma.
Sunset Blvd. is one of the most fascinating experiences I have had with a film, and its message and story have only become more relevant in our present day society where the stardom worshipping has reached crazy heights.
The last line of the film is brilliant, the acting is amazing all-round, and the images are beautiful.
