Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Matt W — 27 Oct 2014
Billy Wilder's criticism of the rise and fall of fame is a masterpiece that stands just as strong today in a world of flash in the pan celebrities as it did in the fifties, playing against the larger than life stars so prevalent in the thirties and forties.
Often quoted and mimicked, but until the film is viewed in entirety it cannot be truly appreciated.
