Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Critic M — 27 Jun 2014
One of the greatest motion pictures I have seen in a very long time. "Sunset Boulevard" is proof that great acting and a solid script can be enough for an enthralling film, no computer graphics or giant robots necessary.
I was absolutely entranced by this brilliant film and loved the story. An aging silent era star who hires a down on his luck writer to edit her big "comeback" script. William Holden and Gloria Swanson are the primary focus and are both fantastic. I cannot say enough positive things about this film, it is tremendous.
If you enjoy classic cinema and have not seen "Sunset Blvd" drop everything and watch it immediately!!!
