This is glorious film, very dark, but the plot is spot on perfect. A realistic film, and a film most of Hollywood studios where not happy about, this is because the story is so true to real life. When talkie films became the norm in Hollywood a lot of the silent stars where out of a job, this was because they may have looked good on screen but not many had a great voice or acting skills for the new format.

You can imagine that these stars who made thousands would not be happy. I love the way Norma is played in this film, a demented and crazy ex-actress who thinks that she is still it, "I am big! It's the pictures that got small.

" At heart this is a truly sad film, it reflects real life, when people get older they are sometimes forgotten, we forget so quickly what impact people have made in our own lives, today young people seem to forget how important World War 2 was.

This is a very important film and I could not recommend this film more highly.
