Review of Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) by Robert F — 09 Feb 2008
It's Murnau, so you have to expect great cinematography and impressive special effects. If there's one problem, it's the nagging suspicion that Murnau tacked on a happy ending just as he was forced to do with "Der Letzte Mann".
Still, watching the story is heartbreaking as you gradually realize what the "day in the city" is leading up to. It's a great silent movie.
