Review of Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) by Ben W — 15 Apr 2009
To me silent movies, excluding Chaplin and Keaton, always appeared overacted with grand gestures and overt facial expressions. This movie stands out for not being anything like that. Murnau's name is stuff of legend and this is why.
See it and judge it for yourself if you want to shatter those preconceived ideas you may have like I did.
