Review of Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) by Joshua G — 08 Sep 2013
Arguably not just one of the greatest silent films of all time, but one of the greatest FILMS of all time. Why it took so long for me to see this is a mystery. Murnau's gifts and abilities are of such high quality it puts much of contemporary film-makers to shame.
The originality and genuine bravery in his picture is unlike anything I've seen before.
