Review of Sunrise (1985) by Lori B — 04 Sep 2011
Sunrise is one of the last, great silent films. By today's standard, the plot is a bit silly, but the striking visual style and method of telling the story with almost no words (perhaps 10 or 15 storyboards, many of which are repeats with a few additional words for emphasis) places this high on the list of the all-time great silents.
