Review of Summer of Sam (1999) by Bob B — 31 Jan 2008
One of Spike Lee's worst films and that is saying something. I went with the full star rating because there was a funny part with a talking dog and The Who were prominently featured in the soundtrack, but only prevents this from being one of my least favorite movies.
It was a bold choice to make a movie about the Son of Sam killer that focused on a dysfunctional marital relationship and people not liking a punk, but it was even more stupid than it was bold.
