It was alright, the Berkowitz parts were very lame, and I think the movie would have fared much better without them and just focused on the main story instead of these sequences that come out of nowhere and distract you from the real stories.
Another point off for Ritchie and his ridiculous hairstyles - nobody had that shit in '77, nor did anyone have numerous piercings or shitty goth-rock like they played in the mock-CBGB's, that came off as really lame too.
