Review of Summer of '42 (1971) by James H — 04 Feb 2010
Very good adaptation to the book, it?s a poignant coming of age drama that is beautifully done. Exquisite period detail, very well cast and believably told. Sensitively directed by Robert Mulligan. The score is outstanding as is the cinematography.
A fine film.
