Review of Summer Hours (2008) by Sharon W — 10 Jul 2009
Excellent multifaceted film exploring such themes as family, death, relationships, historically significant/valuable art, and memories. Character driven, without being manipulative, the audience is left to draw its own conclusions.
It is a glimpse into the lives of a family coping with divergent paths and the idea of continuity. Good to see on a big screen, as the photography is beautiful.
