Review of Sully (2016) by Tony P — 15 Jun 2017
Fascinating account of the events of January 2009 when a passenger airliner crashed into the Hudson River, New York and all passengers escaped physically unharmed.
The film focuses in the air accident investigation after the crash as pilot Chesley Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) battles to save his professional reputation and indeed integrity against a strict panel.
Director Clint Eastwood delivers an interesting film that successfully transfers the story into the a screenplay that is limited by where it can go. Hence the short running time.
Tom Hanks is successfully made to look older, and wiser with a silver fox haircut and make up.
